Nature usually provides me with inspiration for my fibre art. I love trying to capture the essence of beautiful lichen, tree bark and rocks into fibre and stitches. In so doing I am continually learning to incorporate new techniques and materials such as gel medium, transfer dyes and needlefelting to get the effects I want. I enjoy doing hand stitching which I find connects me closely to the artwork and to nature’s beauty and design.
