My works begin in different ways – sometimes I begin with an idea and I sketch it out, enlarge it, and create it in fabric; other times I take some fabrics that have caught my eye and fired up my imagination – maybe because of their texture, or their colours, or their pattern - and begin to place them together on a background;and sometimes I am inspired by a photo I have taken – I take my camera with me everywhere so have a lot of photos to use to jumpstart a piece.

My work “Juicy Gossip” has been juried into the exhibition “Interpretations” at the Visions Art Quilt Gallery in San Diego, CA, which runs Nov. 14, 2009 to January 17, 2010.
