Heather DubreuilHudson, QCWeb: www.heatherdubreuil.com Some of my earliest memories involve cloth, yarn and stitching. In the seventies, I often submitted assignments in fibre as I pursued a fine arts degree at Concordia . I renewed my interest in traditional quilting several years ago, and have now extended my enthusiasm to image transfer, surface design and embellishment. I like to incorporate text into my work. Recent themes have been "A Walk in the Woods", "Seeds, Pods, Husks", and "Love, Love, Love". (You know ... Martha Reeves and the Vandellas ... "love makes me do foolish things"....) This latest series explores the Eternal Feminine, using painted cloth, transparency, text, images and stitch.
