Frances TaylorOttawa, ON email: frances_taylorATsympatico.ca I work in a diverse range of media and frequently incorporate recycled materials that otherwise would go to landfills. I often hand-dye my materials (e.g., silks, mohair and other fibres) and use semi-precious stones, hand and machine embroidery, fabric paints and recycled copper wire to achieve the textures and colours that I seek. My goal is to make art that stimulates the senses and communicates caring for the environment. My art work is in private collections throughout Ottawa. Some of my work is currently on display at Petit Bill’s bistro on Wellington Street (between Holland and Island Park Drive) and at Yarn Forward and Sew On (Bank Street location). Please see me at the April and November Craft and Bake sales in Building 72 on the Experimental Farm. Details on Experimental Farm events are available at: http://www.friendsofthefarm.ca
